Junction 2 x fabric: Less Is More at 10th Anniversary

For its tenth anniversary, Junction 2 returned to its essence. The festival teamed up with fabric for a stripped-back day at Boston Manor Park, keeping the focus on two iconic stages—The Bridge and The Woods—while Beatport Live’s The Block offered a platform for emerging talent without diluting the event’s carefully curated identity.

Beneath the M4, The Bridge once again proved why it’s one of the UK’s most distinctive dancefloors. The raw concrete pillars amplified every kick, creating an industrial cathedral for the day’s heavier sounds. Marcel Dettmann b2b DJ Hell owned this space with a set built on patience and groove. Dettmann’s hypnotic precision met Hell’s electro swagger in a seamless dialogue that prized track selection over peak-time fireworks—a masterclass in how subtlety can hit harder than spectacle.

Over in The Woods, the mood softened into something warmer and more intimate. Francesco Del Garda glided through rolling minimal, deep house and hypnotic textures with effortless control, delivering one of the afternoon’s standout performances. Earlier, Anna Wall b2b Harry McCanna and Gabrielle Kwarteng b2b Peach kept the energy soulful and groove-driven, reinforcing the stage’s reputation as a haven for long-form selectors.

Even a last-minute withdrawal from Nina Kraviz couldn’t shake the programme’s strength. Jeff Mills stepped up and did what Jeff Mills does: reaffirmed his place as one of techno’s true innovators. Bathed in sunshine from start to finish, the crowd mirrored the festival’s ethos—knowledgeable, ego-free and united by a shared love of expertly curated electronic music.
