Twenty years after the last Love Parade rolled through Berlin, a documentary arrives to connect the dots between that era-defining street party and its modern successor. Love Is Stronger: From Love Parade to Rave The Planet lands on the ARD streaming platform on Friday, July 31, offering a curated look at the city's enduring electronic music spirit.
The film doesn't just archive nostalgia; it positions the Love Parade as a catalyst that reshaped Berlin's cultural identity in the 1990s and follows the thread to the Rave The Planet Parade, which now carries the torch. Through archival footage and contemporary scenes, the documentary highlights how the core message—unity through music—has persisted despite shifting political and social landscapes.
ARD is backing the release with a dedicated programming block, signaling the broadcaster's recognition of techno culture as a vital part of German heritage. For viewers outside Germany, the premiere marks a moment to witness how a movement born in basements and on floats became a global symbol of peaceful protest and collective joy.

Love Is Stronger: From Love Parade to Rave The Planet
