Larry McCormick, the electro producer best known as Exzakt and with a catalogue spanning Tresor, Fabric and Skint, has unveiled a new alias: Mack Loenz. Based in Barcelona, the project marks a deliberate shift towards a more melodic, vocal-led and emotionally direct sound — an extension of his electronic roots rather than a break from them.
The debut Mack Loenz album, From The Heart, lands on 4 September 2026 via Maceo Plex’s Lone Romantic imprint. Across ten tracks, McCormick fuses analogue synthesis, crisp electro rhythms, retro-futurist aesthetics and pop-inflected vocals into a cohesive, song-driven record. The album was nearly two years in the making, and its completion coincides with the artist’s decision to make Barcelona his permanent home — a transition he describes as the album’s real-life soundtrack.
In a recent listening session, McCormick and Maceo Plex sat down with the vinyl test pressing and were struck by how the songs came alive on the double LP. That moment underscored the album’s core intention: to channel optimism, vulnerability and human connection through electronic music. From The Heart is both a personal milestone and the start of a new creative chapter for Mack Loenz.

نخستین آلبوم Mack Loenz با عنوان From The Heart قرار است ۴ سپتامبر ۲۰۲۶ از طریق لیبل Lone Romantic متعلق به Maceo Plex منتشر شود. این آلبوم ۱۰ قطعه‌ای، سینت‌سایزرهای آنالوگ، ریتم‌های تیز الکترو، طراحی رترو-فیوچریستی و وکال‌هایی با حال‌وهوای پاپ را در قالبی منسجم و ترانه‌محور تلفیق می‌کند. مراحل ساخت آلبوم نزدیک به دو سال زمان برده و تکمیل آن هم‌زمان با تصمیم مک‌کورمیک برای اقامت دائم در بارسلونا رقم خورده است — انتقالی که خودش آن را موسیقی‌متن واقعی این آلبوم توصیف می‌کند.
در جلسه شنود اخیر، مک‌کورمیک و Maceo Plex نسخه تست واینیل را گوش کردند و از جان‌گرفتن قطعات روی LP دوتایی شگفت‌زده شدند. این لحظه هدف اصلی آلبوم را برجسته کرد: انتقال خوش‌بینی، آسیب‌پذیری و پیوند انسانی از طریق موسیقی الکترونیک.
