Berlin's underground scene has lost one of its most enduring figures. Nico Stojan, the German DJ and producer who became synonymous with the magic of Bar 25, has passed away. News of his death surfaced on 28 July 2026, sending waves of grief through the global electronic music family.
Stojan was a true veteran of the city's after-hours culture. His residency at Bar 25 — the mythical open-air club that defined a generation of hedonistic, music-driven gatherings — placed him at the heart of Berlin's creative renaissance. For years, his sets bridged deep house, melodic techno and organic grooves, earning him a loyal following far beyond the Spree.
Beyond the booth, Stojan channelled his artistry through two influential labels. As a core artist on SONARA, he helped shape a sound that was both sun-drenched and introspective. His work with Ouïe, the imprint founded by Acid Pauli, further cemented his reputation for crafting emotionally rich, dancefloor-ready music that resonated in clubs and festivals worldwide.
